Reception:

Jill is a full-time high school science teacher at Saratoga High School. She teaches Chemistry, Astronomy and Marine Biology. Outside of teaching she has always pursued some sort of creative endeavor, including multimedia work, cooking, and learning Spanish, all of which have become lifelong activities. Her most recent endeavor is jewelry making. She started her business Jill McCrystal Jewelry in January of 2006, putting her scientific interest in geology (gemstones) to a creative purpose. Her main mode of jewelry assembly is through wire wrapping and hand knotting, and her main media are gemstones, pearls and handmade lampwork beads.

She has enjoyed two years in a Boulder Creek Gallery with many return customers with whom she takes great care to work with in their requests for custom adjustments to the jewelry she sells there. She enjoys contributing to the community where she lives. She is now happy to be contributing to the community where she works and has sold her jewelry at events that help raise money for the high school.
