A Few Words About Liquid Light
Liquid Light is an alternative photographic process by which a liquid photographic emulsion (silver gelatin) is used to coat a variety of surfaces and materials including stone, silk, canvas, and almost any type of paper. Once a surface has been coated this process allows for black & white negatives to be printed onto those surfaces. In many of the photographs in this exhibition I have hand-coated paper with a paintbrush, hence the brush stokes. Once the paper has dried, I print on it as I would commercially bought photographic paper. Because of the process, each photograph is unique.
