I am assured that Gallery Saratoga will take every precaution to protect my art work while in the Gallery’s possession; however, Gallery Saratoga will not be responsible for accidental damage or breakage. I understand the Gallery does not carry theft insurance, but does carry insurance for personal liability and major loss due to fire and resultant water damage.

Gallery Saratoga Membership Information

Thank you for your interest in membership at Gallery Saratoga. We want you to know as much as possible about Gallery Saratoga and we would like to learn about you as well.

Gallery Saratoga is a cooperative gallery and displays many different fine arts. All fine arts are welcome. An attempt is made to keep a balance among artistic styles and media

The membership pays monthly dues and staffs the gallery during business hours, Tuesday through Sunday, 11 A.M. to 5P.M., except in the summer months when we extend closing time to 6 P.M. We normally have 29 members which is dictated by space limitations.

Acceptance of membership is based on a majority vote of the membership. The grounds for acceptance are not strictly defined, but are based on a variety of criteria. For example: quality of the artist’s work, uniqueness of the work, and salability. The work must also be original.

Upon acceptance into Gallery Saratoga, the new member will be required to pay an initiation fee of $100.00 and monthly dues of $85.00, which are subject to change by a majority vote of the membership. Gallery Saratoga takes a 20% commission on all sales. Dues and commissions are used to pay our business expenses.

Gallery Saratoga membership responsibilities include the following:

  1. Staffing the Gallery Saratoga one full, or two half days per month, and sometimes an extra half day. A paid staffer is available, if needed.
  2. Attend a monthly meeting on the first Monday of each month at 7:30 P.M.
  3. Participate in a featured artist show at least once every 36 months.
  4. Participate in featured artist receptions when requested.
  5. Rotate your art work in accordance with the hanging schedule, every first Monday of the month.
  6. Participate on a committee as required.
  7. Read, understand and be responsible for the Gallery Saratoga by-laws.
  8. Upon leaving Gallery Saratoga,a 60 day notice must be given prior to leaving.

Dues and staffing requirements must be fulfilled.If you would like to be considered for membership in Gallery Saratoga, we will jury art work at our next regularly scheduled meeting. Please fill out the membership application and return it with an artist statement or resume to:
